IP6 is also known as Inositol Hexaphosphate, phytic acid, or phytate. IP6 is made up one molecule of inositol (a Vitamin B derivative) and six molecules of phosphate. It is a chemical naturally present in the outer bran of fiber-rich foods like nuts, grains, and seeds. Phyctic acid is also a naturally occurring substance within every cell of the body and plays as a cellular messenger that facilitates communication between cells. It is also involved in the metabolism of insulin, calcium, and other minerals. Other functions of Inositol Hexaphosphate include helping the liver distribute fats in other parts of the body, normal hair growth, eye membrane development, and bone marrow cell metabolism. Experts categorise IP6 as a premier antioxidant.
