  • Soy Isoflavones supports women’s health during menopause. The uncomfortable symptoms of menopause like hot flushes and mood swings are often observed in women with low supply of soy isoflavones from the western diet.
  • Soy Isoflavones can benefit normal bone density for optimum bone health. Preservation of bone density helps fight osteoporosis, the most common bone health problem in ageing women.
  • Isoflavones are potent antioxidants that can protect the body against free radical damage. Natural antioxidant protection can produce anti-ageing benefits, energy-boosting effects, anti-cancer mechanisms, as well as cognitive and emotional health support.
  • Soy isoflavones appear to exhibit cardio-protective properties. Studies revealed that soy isoflavones can interfere with the growth of plaque forming cells that clogs the arteries. These cells form clots that increase the risk for heart attack and other cardiovascular health problems.
  • Soy Isoflavones for men can offer prostate health support. It may help fight inflammation causing free radicals to preserve the normal size and functions of the prostate gland. Oxidative damage from free radicals is linked to prostate enlargement as well as prostate cancer.
  • By promoting healthy estrogen balance, Soy isoflavones can promote health and normal functioning of important female organs like the breast, ovaries, and uterus.

Soy Isoflavones are active compounds derived from soy and soy products like tofu, soy milk, tempeh, soy flour, and soy supplements. There are actually numerous isoflavones found in soy, but the three most beneficial are genistein, daidzein, and glycitein. According to the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicinee (NCCAM), soy isoflavones resemble the chemical structure of the female hormone estrogen. This similarity is the reason why they can interfere with the actions of estrogen in the body, especially in women. Depending on estrogen receptor type in the cells, soy isoflavones can either reduce or increase estrogen activity. Soy isoflavones supplements can help reduce excessive estrogen by competing with the same receptor sites. Excessive estrogen in the body increases the risk for some forms of cancer affecting the breast and the uterus. On the other hand, soy isoflavones from food and supplements can increase estrogen activity. Increased estrogen activity is very beneficial in relieving the discomforts of women experienced during the perimenopausal period. It is during menopause that estrogen levels drop and soy isoflavones supplements can help replenish the lost estrogen.
