Tongkat Ali

Tongkat Ali (Eurycoma longifolia) is a tree native to Asian countries such as Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand. Its name literally means “Ali’s walking stick” as it having long twisted roots, of where the tree derives its medicinal value. These roots are dried and grinded into powder or into liquid that looks like coffee to obtain the pure Tongkat ali extract. In May 1999, Tongkat Ali was labeled as the “Asian Viagra” in a report in the New Sunday Times.
